Things to Do in Destin Fla | Full Moon Cruise on SOLARIS Yacht in Sandestin

Cruise for a cause as SunQuest Cruises partners with the Junior League of the Emerald Coast for a Full Moon Cruise on the SOLARIS yacht in Sandestin on Friday, November 7th from 7:30 – 10:30 p.m. The Junior League of the Emerald Coast is celebrating 50 years of making a difference in the community with a night of dining and dancing under the moonlight.

“Evenings on the water take on a whole new luster under the light of a full moon. This is the first in a series of Full Moon Cruises we will be hosting,” said James Murray, General Manager for SunQuest Cruises. “We’re thrilled to partner with this great organization to raise money to further their mission and make an impact in our community.”

The Junior League of the Emerald Coast began in 1964 with five women dedicated to making a difference in their community. Today, the Junior League of the Emerald Coast is an organization of nearly 300 Northwest Florida Panhandle women of diverse backgrounds who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to voluntarism. The members of the Junior League of the Emerald Coast strive to uphold a mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community.

“We are a diverse group of civic-minded women devoted to voluntarism and improving our communities,” stated Carly Harmer, President of the Junior League of the Emerald Coast. “We are looking forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary with the community this year and are working to ensure that the impact we have over the next 50 years is even greater!”

Guests will embark on an unforgettable evening as they are greeted by Captain Matt and explore all three indoor and outdoor decks of the SOLARIS yacht, including a silent auction. Delectable comfort foods freshly prepared by the SOLARIS chefs will be available throughout the yacht. The menu includes fresh Tomato Basil soup, grilled smoked cheese sandwiches, bruschetta margarita melts, shrimp, beef, veggie and chicken kabobs and more.

The indulgent evening continues with an irresistible S’mores Bar featuring an array of warm marshmallows, milk chocolate and graham crackers. Guests can also dance in the moonlight to live entertainment by well-known local DJ David Hall.
