SunQuest Cruises Disco Cowgirl a HIT at Bloody Mary Festival
October 2022 was an eventful month for the SunQuest Cruises crew! In addition to a month filled with weddings and events aboard the SOLARIS Yacht, SunQuest’s wedding and events team represented the SunQuest crew at the 7th annual Bloody Mary Festival. Hosted at The Market Shops, this annual event featured 25 local restaurants and their best Bloody Mary recipes.
Members of SunQuest’s wedding and events team, in tow with Chef Manny, made their way to the lush greens at The Market Shops across from the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort early Saturday morning to set up their booth at the festival. SunQuest’s Bloody Mary recipe, “The Disco Cowgirl”, featured southwest-inspired ingredients. Using green tomatoes rather than the traditional red tomatoes ensured that SunQuest’s recipe stood out from the crowd. From a mile away you could see the SunQuest tent set up with bright florals, disco balls, and of course a team dressed to match. Our wedding and events team dressed to the theme with bright pink dresses, cowgirl boots, and disco accessories. It was a “Disco in the Desert” to celebrate the annual Bloody Mary Festival!
“We wanted to give attendees the feeling that they were discoing alongside us while sipping a unique Bloody Mary. The smoked chile flavor really stood out in our southwest-inspired recipe!” – Kristi S, Director of Marketing
While “The Disco Cowgirl” Bloody Mary was a hit, SunQuest’s accoutrement kept attendees coming back for more. Chef Manny prepared a “Cowboy Caviar” featuring local blue crab, cucumbers, jalapenos, corn, and tomatoes wrapped in a puffy pastry shell. One attendee noted that he voted for SunQuest as Best Bloody Mary purely because the “Cowboy Caviar” was so delicious, especially when paired with such a unique cocktail.
As an added bonus, the wedding and events team had an extra trick up their sleeve in order to sway votes for SunQuest Cruises. For every vote that the crew recieved, the girls leapt into action to celebrate with a line dance, keeping in theme of their “Disco in the Desert” booth.
“After our fifth vote, I had to head over to the Ben & Jerry’s tent for an ice cream break!” – Christy W, Wedding Planner & Coordinator
“We had a blast celebrating with the vendors and The Market Shops! We can’t wait to celebrate again next year! Although we’re not sure how we’ll top this theme. Any ideas?” – Courtney H, Director of Events
